Brendan Rodgers likes to have three senior goalkeepers in his squad, but Eldin Jakupovic is out of contract this summer. It seems likely that he will move on, so City could call up Daniel Iversen, impressing on loan at Rotherham this season, to be third choice. However, he may be loaned out to a Championship side to get him more football.Viktor Johansson could also make the step up from the Under 23s, or another, more senior third choice stopper could be signed.Defenders: Ricardo Pereira, James Justin, Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu, Merih Demiral, Filip Benkovic, Wes Morgan, Ben Chilwell, Christian FuchsRyan Bennett was signed on loan in January but with the Wolves centre back yet to even make the bench for City, a permanent deal seems unlikely. So City will once again look for a new centre half in the next transfer window.Caglar Soyuncu’s international partner Merih Demiral seems the best bet. He’s big, strong, young, reads the game well and is confident on the ball. He ticks all of the boxes, hence why City were so keen on him in January.Whether Juventus can be convinced to let him go is one of two questions to be asked, with the other over his fitness after he suffered a knee ligament injury at the start of the calendar year.(Image: Filippo Alfero Juventus FC/Juventus FC via Getty Images)Wes Morgan is likely to be offered a one year deal to keep him at the club, but he is likely to drop further down the pecking order. Filip Benkovic, on loan at Bristol City, could return to the King Power Stadium to give Rodgers five options in central defence. However, Benkovic could be loaned out once more, freeing up a spot in the 25 man squad for another forward player.
